Images #1 through #9 are various scenes of the westbound Local at or near Richards Brick.  The 'Local' was actually an Extra that did all the local industry pickups and setouts between Charleston and Madison.  In the early diesel era on the NKP it ran with a single GP-9 and the ever-present rider caboose but later years saw it running with 2 GP's and minus the rider.

#1    1958 -- GP-9 #472 with rider and shale hopper;  on mainline near brickyard.

#2    1958 -- Shale cars sit on dock track while switching; tag-along boxcar probably came from dock.
